AREA BUSINESS OWNERS & MANAGERS: BE PREPARED for heavy traffic on Interstate-35 and other main roads, delivery delays/cancellations, employee delays, potential loss of cellular/internet connectivity (be sure your business can accept cash transactions that day, as needed), increased visitors/foot traffic, fuel station lines/outages, and more. The City of San Marcos- Office of Emergency Management has preparation and safety details compiled for you here.

Note: San Marcos CISD schools will NOT have classes on April 8. Students will be at home. This is to keep buses and children off the roads after the eclipse, during potentially extreme heavy traffic.
